North Queensland Shopping

A variety of shopping experiences are catered for in the Tropical Far North Queensland region with shopping ranging from department stores to exclusive boutiques and specialty stores. In Cairns the city shopping mall is relaxed and with a variety of different stores.

A particularly interesting shopping experience can be had at Far North Queensland's Pier Market place in Cairns. This shopping centre is open 7 days a week and also has a great array of shopping stores, and on the weekend traders set up a market with their wares within the complex.

There are also a variety of other smaller shopping areas that have some very distinctive shops in the Far North Queensland region. Visit Rusty's Bazaar in Grafton Street, Trinity Wharf, Village Lane, the Conservatory, Palm Court and Orchid Plaza that are all great places to browse and shop. Located just short drive north of Cairns, another of the key tourist areas, Port Douglas is one of the more quaint and picturesque areas of Far North Queensland.This area offers a fabulous beach, beautiful marina, a number of stylish shopping boutiques and cafes, and an exceptional range of accommodation.
